This is my favorite restaurant for happy hour. The food is incredible, service is friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is great. Happy hour is offered everyday from 3:30-6 pm in the lounge and the happy hour menu is extensive. Some of my favorite happy hour items are: Penn Cove mussels with red basil and shallots Roasted oyster kilpatrick BBQ shrimp New Orleans Beef sliders with pomme frites

Went here for a week day lunch during SRW. As soon as you walk in, you'll notice a very cozy and warm vibes with friendly staff. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow but food made up for it! Their menu is HUGE and as soon as you sit, they give you a whole book of items to read through lol we decided to order off SRW menu which came with appetizer and entrees for $20 and $35. Chowder was very flavorful and warm and I would go back just for that. Rockfish sandwich was a bit bland but it might be because other items had stronger flavors. I really enjoyed the butternut squash & oyster mushroom pasta. Subtle aroma of truffle oil really made the dish more enjoyable. I would love to try some of their other seafood items next time. Unfortunately, I had to dock a star because of "livable wage" fee on top of service charge. It's truly a bummer that restaurants can't pay their employees "livable wage" and customers have to lol

Delicious Cajun food with a beautiful interior. Cozy candles line the walls; the hostess said it takes a team to light them all. The brunch menu is overwhelming, but then again, there's really something for everyone. Cocktails were hit and miss, but that's personal taste. The French 77 sparkled nicely but the Sazerac was too sweet. Soups: - the gumbo was large and flavorful, with a deep roux base. - shrimp and leek soup was superb. Light broth, juicy shrimp, just enough vegetables. Entrees: - I ordered a soup and salad combo and selected the persimmon and blue cheese salad. Sadly, it came with pears instead of persimmon but the walnut dressing was brightly flavored and the endive was crunchy. - pork shoulder with gnocchi. The pork was plentiful and well seasoned. The gnocchi were not pillowy but had been panfried. Good flavor but did not absorb the sauce as well. - chicken burger was huge, and the accompanying fries were hot and delicious. We ordered coffee and dessert. Be aware that coffee is served in an individual French press: it's a lot of coffee. Nicely flavored and hot. The beignets were good, and the dipping sauce is delicious. Definitely a place to return and work your way through the menu. Make reservations; this restaurant is busy.

We went for restaurant week & loved our courses, French onion soup was very delicious with excellent broth. I had the Seafood chowder, & my daughter had the salad w shrimp, avocado. Scallops were amazing. Loved the lobster & crab, can't beat gulf shrimp!

Came here on a Tuesday and although the food was decent, the experience left a lot to be desired. Across from our table were employees (maybe owners) having a meeting, talking about pricing and the high cost of wages. As others have mentioned, this place puts a "livable wage" surcharge on the bill. I'm honestly sick of these added surcharges with restaurants. Just raise the cost of your meals to pay your employees properly. We ordered the Ruben and the Cajun Chicken sandwich. The Ruben looked fantastic but lacked in flavor. The chicken sandwich was the winning dish. The inside was really cool and loved the decor.

Toulouse Petit is walking distance from Climate Pledge arena, and just what we needed before watching a Professional Women's Hockey League game. The expansive menu and cocktail list has something for everyone! The crème caramel French toast cannot be beat, and the side of bacon is generously proportioned. It was very busy when we visited, and after dining there, it's easy to see why. Plan ahead if you want to grab a seat.

The food! Just visited today for my birthday breakfast/brunch. Everyone's posted photos looked so delicious I thought it was worth a shot. Toulouse did not disappoint for us. The feel and ambiance is warm and comfortable. They were meticulously dusting the large number of shelves and wall to replace all the candles. I'm wondering how often they need to do that. It is a LOT of candles, but super cool touch. Started off with my own individual French press coffee. Love that. The coffee was enjoyable. Good flavor. Nice strength. Smooth. I liked it! Brought it out with small creamer and sugar. $7 Next came the beignets which paired well with my coffee. Crispy outside, soft, warm chewy inside. The side sauce was not too sweet and had a hint of coffee flavor as well. Pretty dreamy way to start the day. The brunch/breakfast menu is pretty extensive. Normally, I would worry about a restaurant with that many items to choose from. We asked the server for suggestions and I love that he had several confident suggestions to make for us. 'Lucy' Shrimp, Crawfish, and Andouille Sausage over Red Mill Grits was recommended as a regular favorite. I would definitely order this again. Layers of flavor and not overly salted which most places tend to do. Really good! Filling and rich. We did not need to have lunch today. Acadiana Benedict (dungeness crab, shrimp, andouille, creole hollandaise) - Let me just say that this place knows how to poach an egg! The word that described it for me is, beautiful. And we all know that hollandaise sauce is always spot on good or really, really bad. I tested that first and I approve. Really good dish and a lot of food. I couldn't eat most of the potatoes, but they are super crisp and enjoyable too. I'm looking forward to coming back again to try dinner options. Cute special occasion spot or just because. Prices are a bit on the higher end. Oh! And they tack on that "Living Wage surcharge of 5% to all checks". The font was not significantly reduced like I've seen other places try to hide it so appreciate that we were able to notice it clearly in bold prior to ordering. Don't get me wrong, I don't approve of it. Parking: Mostly just saw street parking (pay by phone app for 2 hours was under $4 right across the street). We found a spot easily, but not sure how it gets for dinner crowd.

The food is AMAZING!! Stopped by and got seats at the bar around happy hour with no wait. We got the basil/shallots mussels, fried oysters, and beignets with ice cream. Start to finish, everything was delicious. I wish I ordered a side or bread to dip into the sauce from the mussels. Fried oysters were fresh and crisp. Paired the beignets with their seasonal ice cream. Writing this review makes me want to go back again. Highly recommend stopping by, the interior is nicely decorated too as a bonus

Decided to come here for their happy hour which is from 3:30 - 6 pm on a Thursday and it hadn't gotten busy yet since we headed over at around 4 pm. We sat at a higher table for 2 and we liked that they had a side space to hang our bags. The staff were very friendly, giving us recommendations on their most popular items and checking up on us during the meal. We also loved the interior rustic, wooden and a bit medieval vibe. Red Basil & Shallots Penn Cove Mussels - This was our favorite dish. The mussels were juicy and cooked perfectly but what made this stand out was the sauce. The sauce had strong notes of garlic and shallot, it was the best blend of herbs and sour flavor that highlighted the mussels. It was so good that we got extra bread to dip in the sauce. Buttermilk Fried Chicken Bites - What stood out in this dish was the savory gravy and the buttery mashed potatoes. The chicken bites we expected to have a crunch but it was more soft and juicy, still paired nicely with the gravy. It had a mini biscuit as well which was hot and soft. Crawfish 'Beignets' with Hot Pepper Jelly - My friend and I love beignets but were a little surprised by this dish. It reminded us more of a croquette with crawfish inside. It had a mild crawfish flavor and overall sweet and spicy from the sauce which wasn't a taste we enjoyed as much from the hot pepper jelly. Overall, this was one of my first times trying Cajun-Creole inspired restaurant and we loved trying all the unique dishes and flavors they had to offer. They definitely had a very diverse and filled happy hour menu and we would love to go back to try more of their seafood items.
